Service

When most people hear the word philanthropy, they think of stuffing envelopes or other monotonous tasks. At Delta Tau Delta, this is not the case. The service that we provide is far from boring. The money raising events we hold are designed to not only be fun, but raise money for a good cause at the same.

One of our main events is a date auction where we auction off local waitresses from a novelty restaurant and sorority girls. All of the money we raise for this is donated to the OSF children's floor. We also help out with March Madness, local basketball tournament, where we help run basketball games for kids. We organize the blood drive for American Red Cross as well, which helps to provide the Red Cross with hundreds of gallons of blood..

Recent Events / Upcoming Events:

On August 27, 2005, Delta Tau Delta hosted a philanthropy concert featuring the band Lucky Boys Confusion.

The Hush Sound, Dropping Daylight, and Melee all opened for Lucky Boys.

The event proved to be a huge success with nearly 1000 in attendance and over $2,300 raised for Habitat For Humanity.

Delta Tau Delta is planning on hosting benefit concerts annually. (Pictures Attached) Currently, the Zeta Omega Chapter is working with Habitat on planning a 24-Hours of Softball Event for the beginning of April.

We are looking to raise another substantial amount for Habitat, and are also looking for companies to sponsor the event.
